In the year that we have had Archimedes he has had major improvements.
The first improvement is his legs. He came to us with sores and scratches, which is common with feathered horses if they are not taken care of. The moisture under all the feathers (hair) around their lower legs causes sores and bacterial issues therefore, we have to kept those feathers trimmed and apply ointments if any sores are starting.
The second improvement is his walking/balance issue. We have had body work and chiropractor adjustments on Archimedes regularly. These treatments have helped him walk better and he is stronger in his hind legs. Because of his balance issue Serendipity received a grant to purchase “stocks” for him.
One of Archimedes coolest traits is his mustache!
